Comparative Views on Origins
Brock Lee
What is your view on origins?
Theories abound about how our world and all life on it came into existence. Have you ever wondered how the theory you accept compares to the other views?
Brock Lee compares twenty-three views on origins, energizing the discussion with well-documented, fascinating footnotes that are as compelling and informative as the main text.
Lee’s debut book stands alone from other books in the creation-evolution debate. He presents concise explanations of the focus of each origin’s view, making it much more than just another book comparing creation-based and evolution-based hypotheses.
One by one he dissects each origin hypothesis, detailing what is scientifically proven and what is not. Whatever your belief system, the author lays out the evidence for you to digest. You will either be encouraged in your belief, or face a crossroad of two choices: the truth or falsehood. The decision is up to you. |

Author’s Note You probably have not read a book quite like this one. It is unique as far as I know at the time of this writing. Most books on the creation-evolution debate start by comparing creation and evolution, or occasionally a small booklet will be written dealing with one particular theory (for example, Kent Hovind’s $2 booklet on the Gap Theory). Instead, I asked the question How many origin theories are there? This book covers those views, along with some new views and some not so popular (but commonly mentioned) views. I’ve found that many people are aware of the creation-evolution debate but do not have a good understanding of exactly what is being debated, what hypothesis each origins view is based upon, or why the debate even matters. In this book you will read concise, accurate explanations of what the focus is of each origins view. If you are not solid in what you believe, weigh all factors presented and then choose which side of the debate you are on. Brock Lee
